Speakers urge supervisors to move forward with litigation (Simi Valley Acorn)

“Residents urged the Ventura County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 17 not to backtrack on its commitment to the well-being of the community and to move forward with legal action against the state.

At the Oct. 17 meeting, Larry Yee, a longtime Ventura County resident and former water quality control board member, criticized the Department of Toxic Substances Control, the lead state regulatory agency overseeing the cleanup. He said the agency failed to hold Boeing responsible to the terms of the consent order and that the environmental impact report it issued leaves the aerospace giant off the hook for cleaning up most of the site.”
