Environmental groups say safety measures lacking as Santa Susana Field Lab buildings demolished (LA Daily News)

“The Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility and Parents Against Santa Susana Field Lab wrote in the letter that the state Department of Toxic Substances Control, also known as DTSC, endangered public health in communities adjacent to the 2850 acres-acre field allowing contractors for the Department of Energy to blow up with explosives the Sodium Cleaning and Handling and Sodium Pump Test facilities last month without requiring dust control to prevent the spread of contamination into nearby neighborhoods.”
