Dan Hirsch and Dale Bridenbaugh – the former General Electric nuclear engineer who, in 1975, disclosed safety problems with the GE Mark I reactor design that was used for 5 of the 6 reactors at Fukushima – provided comments to a November 6, 2023 Berkeley Peace and Justice Commission event titled “Fukushima nuclear waste release: Is it safe?”
